Rules

GENERAL EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS :

  • There is no registration fee to register and all players across categories can participate for free by registering on the App.
  • Participating players can get their own kits or can use the one provided by the organizers (subject to availability).
  • Ball will be provided by the organizers.
  • It is advisable for the players to carry their abdomen guard and personal kit for batting.
  • Strictly comply with the tournament Rules and Regulations.
  • Cooperate with the representatives to help run the Tournament to the highest possible standards and with the utmost integrity.
  • In case of suspected or alleged breach of regulations by any player that may impact the integrity of a match or the tournament, the organizers reserve the right to suspend the participation of the player.
  • All Matches shall be played according to the schedule set by the organizers.
  • To comply with the Laws of the Game laid down by the organizers.
  • To respect their opponent and observe the principles of Fair Play.
  • To be responsible for the behavior on and off the field throughout the Tournament.
  • Accept all arrangements made by the organizers for the conduct of the Matches.
  • Attend and participate in all Matches as scheduled and organized.
  • To inform the organizer as soon as possible in case of an unavoidable delay and/or their invalidity to attend a match.
  • In case if a batter or a bowler is injured and cannot play on the ground, the selectors, umpires and organizers will make a collective decision keeping the injury, rules, time and fair play into consideration. Their decision will be the final decision and cannot be contested.

FEW KEY RULES :

  • Categories - U/12 & U/16 Boys and Girls U/16
  • Each Player will get 6 balls/1 over for batting & 6 balls/1 over for Bowling.
  • Credible bowling & batting Coaches will be present for the trials.
  • Only 1 player will be selected from each category as the winner from each city.
  • Selection will be based on scores given by the paneled selectors.
  • Medical facilities will be available for Players.
  • Parents are not allowed to enter the playing field.
  • Each participant must be accompanied by their parents/guardian to the grounds.
  • Participants will get a message to update them of their slot timings.
  • Participants are supposed to be present at least an hour prior to their time slots duly registered on ground.
  • Participants have to collect their KIT (Jersey) from the Skoda dealership on their allotted day.
  • Only in a few special cases, It can also be collected from the registration desk on the Trial days.

TERMS & CONDITIONS - TRIALS :

  • Participants will be allowed to deliver 6 balls as a bowler & have to face 6 deliveries as a batter.
  • It’s mandatory for all the participants to showcase both their talents as bowlers and batter at the Trials.
  • Selectors cannot be approached by the participant, the ward's family, or anybody related to any participant to maintain the integrity of the tournament.
  • Certified selectors will have parameters to check the talent of a participant with only 12 balls of which 6 will be bowled by him/her & the rest 6 will be faced by him/her as a batter.
  • Selection/Rejection of a player by the selector shall be final & the participant is not liable to question the scoring system during the trials.
  • The scoring system during the trials is of utmost secrecy & the data shall not be made available to any participant or anybody related to the participant(s).
  • All-rounder performance shall be given higher marks & will have a brighter chance to advance in the tournament.
  • Any kind of contact made with the selector shall result in immediate disqualification of the participant related to the incident at any point of the tournament. Complete integrity should be maintained during the tournament.
  • In case of injury, the participant can signal the crew which shall be addressed by the medical facilitator of the respective venue.
  • Skoda and the organizer shall not be responsible for any kind of loss — monetary or emotional to the participant or anybody related to the ward.

SINGLE-WICKET CITY FINALS:

  • Top 8 players from each category will move into the city finals from the city trials based on the highest score.
  • Each participant is to face 6 balls/1 over of bowling & deliver 6 balls/1 over of bowling against opponents.
  • 22 yards of the pitch will be used for gameplay.
  • When the bat strikes the ball, the striker is free to run & score.
  • Byes will be added to the batsman’s score.
  • The bowler’s action is of vital importance. The ball must be bowled & not thrown or jerked.
  • Each game will have 10 neutral fielders.
  • Run-out rules will comply as will caught behind & other OUT rules for the batter. This shall be counted as negative 2 runs for the batter.
  • Leg Before Wicket will be considered as OUT & the umpire‘s decision will be final in that case. This shall be counted as negative 2 runs for the batter.
  • The striker shall not return to the pavilion until he has faced 6 legal balls of bowling. Every OUT will be considered as a negative 2-run score to the batsman.
  • Bowlers will have to keep the time between the deliveries minimal & will be disqualified if there is a difference of 1 minute between any two deliveries.
  • In the end, among the participants, whoever has the highest score shall proceed to the next round.
  • 1 participant from each category (Boys U-12 & U-16 and Girls U-16) with the highest score shall win the city finals and proceed to the national finals.

  • Each participant is to face 6 balls/1 over of bowling & deliver 6 balls/1 over of bowling against opponents.
  • 22 yards of the pitch will be used for gameplay.

  • Quarter finals onwards each participant is to face 6 balls/1 over of bowling & deliver 6 balls/1 over of bowling against opponents.
  • 1 participant from each category (Boys U-12 & U-16 and Girls U-16) with the highest score shall win the national finals.

Wide & No Ball Clause:

  • No ball and Wide will be penalized according to Season ball cricket rules. One run and an extra ball will be awarded for a no ball and a wide ball.
  • Umpires reserve every right to declare a no ball with or without warning, if any bowler delivers under arm or throw ball.
